Thinking about the more adventurous side of kayaking? Level IV is for folks who want to advance their skills for situations that are more challenging that flatwater. If you are interested in the sport of whitewater, this class is great preparation for a whitewater and offers the prerequisite skills needed for taking any of our Class II to III river trips.

We will talk about river dynamics, hydrology, and more. We will learn how to scout the river and read it for hazards and other features. We will delve into how to keep yourself and others safe in moving water as well. Rescue throw bag discussion and practice caps off this class.
